CRDA Facade Construction

The CRDA facade construction is underway after nearly 3 years. Substantial completion is expected by Memorial Day. The facade project will include all new signage, awnings, windows, glass, siding and lighting. The Ritz Historical Plaque that is currently displayed in the lobby will be wall mounted on the new facade near the boardwalk entrance. Click here to view some photos of the project.

June 4,2010 Facade update:

The Facade project has been moving well. There were a few material delivery issues that seem resolved. All of the new storefront doors and windows have been installed including a complete new Boardwalk Entry to the Ritz.. The  Store Name Signs over the stores are installed.Check out the RITZ sign over the main door. Electric conduit for the awnings and blade signs has been roughed in. We had been lobbying hard for CRDA to replace the small roof over the store fronts which was not in their scope of work . CRDA declined and we went into mode 2 which was to somehow convince CRDA to reduce the Maintenance deposit requirement so we would have the cash flow to replace the roof ourselves. Surprisingly we were successful and the roof work starts next week. The contractors have been very accommodating to the needs of the shop owners and the shop owners have been very understanding during this disruptive period.  Next week the specialty siding and the specialty moldings should be delivered and installation started. ( these products will cover all the purple board now visible) .  The awnings, lights and individual store blade signs will be installed as soon as the siding is completed. The projected date for 100% completion is July 2 .

2009/2010 Board of Directors

The Association would like to thank you for coming out to the 28th Annual Board Meeting on Saturday, November 7th. The 2009/2010 Ritz Association Board of Directors are as follows: Carol A. Hartman President, Gordon Pherribo Jr. 1st Vice President, Steve Appelbaum 2nd Vice President, Richard Crimi Treasurer. The new meeting dates for 2009/2010 will be posted shortly under the Members Area, as well as the final reports for the year. We welcome the owners to join the Board and Staff at these meetings so you may be well informed with up to date condominium news.
